Vision Fitness Helps the Governor with
Fight Against Obesity in Wisconsin

LAKE MILLS, Wis. - April 19, 2004
Vision Fitness, a fitness equipment company based in Lake Mills, announced that it will donate fitness equipment to schools and community groups who are top achievers in the Wisconsin Governor’s Challenge. The Challenge is a statewide initiative launched this past March by Governor Doyle to encourage Wisconsin adults and children to become more physically active. Individuals and groups can register for the Challenge at www.wisconsinchallenge.org.

Vision Fitness has also registered its employees to take part in the six-week Spring Challenge that Governor Doyle kicks off today. “We are proud to be involved in the Wisconsin Governor’s Challenge as it’s an excellent opportunity for us to express our strong commitment to wellness and to help kids and adults throughout the state to improve their health,” said Vision Fitness President Greg Waters.

The donation of Vision Fitness equipment will include an elliptical trainer, upright bike, semi-recumbent bike, and treadmill for the top participating school. The runner-up school will receive a treadmill and semi-recumbent bike, while the third place school will be awarded an elliptical trainer and upright bike. The top participating community group will receive a treadmill, upright bike, and elliptical trainer. The individual participants who complete the Spring Challenge will be entered into a drawing for a semi-recumbent bike.

Nearly 400 groups and thousands of individuals throughout the state have registered and will join Governor Doyle, his family, staff, and Vision Fitness employees as they begin the six-week Challenge today. Visit www.wisconsinchallenge.org as there’s still time to register for the Spring Challenge, or sign up to take the Challenge at a later date.
